On today's show, Puck opens up talking about the Mariners and what a great series it was vs. the Reds and how Julio has not let his slow start at the plate translate to the field. Now, they head to Colorado where they can get fat and happy in the elevation and against a bad baseball team. Puck doesn't understand what Mike Macdonald is doing by taking down pictures of past players in the facility. Why wouldn't you embrace your championship past. Dumb move, says Puck. Trevor Bauer deserves a second chance after a second woman who accused him of sexual assault is now being charged with defrauding him. Bauer may not be liked by many, but he now has proved that he didn't assault a second woman and it appears all these allegations against him are false and someone needs to let him back in the MLB. Puck says stop being outraged by the WNBA salaries. The leagues revenue is $60M, compared to the NBA which is $7.4B. The league doesn't generate money, so why should they be paid more by the league? Caitlin Clark earns over $3.5M in endorsements. So, despite her making just $76K, she's going to be ok. Can't we all just have an owner like Steve Ballmer? The Clippers owner covered the entire concessions for his fans on the final home game of the season. That's what an owner is supposed to do. The amount of goodwill he just earned from his fans will pay off for years to come. Lastly, Jontay Porter banned from the NBA for life for betting on himself and games. Good that the league caught this and the gaming industry. People don't realize there are so many checks and balances with this and the league caught it. This doesn't mean we need to stop gambling on sports. No entity more than the gaming industry wants this all to be handled on the up and up. Porter made over $20k on bets and that amount cost him his career.
