On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett kicks off the show discussing the unbelievable playoff games in the NHL and NBA that took place on Monday and how it doesn’t matter which sport it is, the playoff atmosphere always delivers and it delivered once again. Puck than welcomes John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com to discuss breaking news reported by John himself on the 2025 Pac-12 TV deal involving Washington State and Oregon State. An official announcement will happen on Wednesday and a source confirmed to John that the home games will appear on the CW Network and the start times for those games will be released as well. John says to expect to see one or two big linear networks be a part of the ’25 deal and beyond. What’s the future of expansion and will it just include UNLV? Puck and John switch gears to a tragic story that John wrote about involving the Umpqua Community College softball team. It’s a beautifully written piece involving enormous heartbreak. John also dishes on the latest with MLB expansion and relocation to Portland as the city and state has cleared a major hurdle for building a ballpark.
Mike Sando from The Athletic checks in to preview the upcoming NFL draft, pressure on John Schneider, lackluster QB class and what will Seattle do with their 18th pick.
Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck?!” Big changes coming to high school sports and one change that needs to happen.
