On this weeks ‘Old Crimson Cougars Podcast, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy and Paul Sorensen, All-American safety at WSU and Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com
The boys jump right into the latest College Football Playoff rankings, where the Cougs come in at # 21 for the first week. Were they surprised that Colorado was ahead of them in the polls?
What are the realistic expectations for the Cougars and the playoffs?
Puck, Jim and Paul get into the debate of whether they should be pulling for the Huskies in their remaining games of the season? Paul and Puck are adamant that Cougar fans should be pulling for UW the rest of the season, but, Jim can’t bring himself to rooting for the Huskies. It gets heated between the three!
They welcome Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com to discuss the rankings and get an update on the team, including kicker Dean Janikowski, who suffered a broken hand, most likely coming from his incident with a San Diego State player.
After Jamey leaves, Puck, Jim and Paul continue to discuss the playoffs and they try to convince Jim to root for the Huskies! They chat about Dickert’s future and react to a clip from John Canzano on the contract situation with Dickert and the fact that some in upper campus at WSU may be put off about giving him a new contract with the current climate.
Lastly, Puck asks Paul and Jim if the Beavers should lay down their sword when they meet on November 23? Puck was obviously being sarcastic, but all three pondered how they would feel if the Beavers were the ones to knock the Cougs out of the playoffs!
